The two-story house is located in the heart of Lichtenhain, ideal for hiking enthusiasts. Your room is on the 2nd floor. It's a large room with a bed, dining area, a small, fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom. In front of the house, there's a small terrace with a barbecue and seating area, which is available to all guests. You can easily leave your car parked, as scenic hiking trails start right outside. After an idyllic 30-minute hike, you reach the Kirnitzsch Valley, from where many routes and paths can be explored.
The environment
The accommodation is located in Lichtenhain, in the heart of Saxon Switzerland. The village itself has a village shop where you can pick up treats for breakfast. A small café serving delicious cakes and ice cream is just a few minutes' walk away. Recently, there's also a bowling alley with a lovely restaurant in Lichtenhain.
You can start hiking directly from the accommodation. It's about a 30-minute walk down into the Kirnitzschtal Valley and to the Lichtenhain Waterfall. From there, you can start a variety of hiking routes or climb via ferratas like the Häntzschelstiege. The famous Bastei is about a 30-minute drive from here.
There's a bus stop right in Lichtenhain, so you can easily take the bus towards Sebnitz or Bad Schandau. The nearest supermarket is an Aldi at the entrance to Sebnitz, about a 5-minute drive away. It's about a 10-minute drive to Bad Schandau, and a 7-minute drive to Sebnitz.
